To Fairfield voters:
I have dedicated my entire YMCA career to helping young people build a future. As President/CEO of the Central Connecticut Coast YMCA, serving 75,000 people through 12 YMCA branches on a $28M operating budget, I have worked with parents and community leaders to create a community consensus around issues impacting the lives of young people and families throughout Fairfield and New Haven counties. I have balanced strategic goal achievement with available budgetary resources.
I ask for your support and VOTE to elect me to the Board of Education. As a board member, I will be committed to the issues impacting academic excellence in a positive school environment for ALL children. I will encourage active parental involvement, professional development of all staff and being a good steward of taxpayer dollars. Demonstrating Fiscal Responsibility, Achieving Academic Excellence in a positive school environment and Improving Communications are the three most important issues facing our school district.
I am an effective communicator, have been elected as a Democrat, in communities with both Democrat and Republican majorities, understand the role of a Board of Education and am prepared to dedicate the time to a cause I believe in - the value of public education and the need to insure its future.
I am running for the Board of Education to put my experience to work for you and to ensure that students have the resources needed to learn, grow and thrive in school.
Thank you for your consideration AND vote!
